Mohammad Ali Al Kamali is the Chief Trade and Industrial Officer at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). In this role, he leads strategic initiatives to drive industrial development and international trade, advancing ADIO’s mission to elevate Abu Dhabi’s status as a global hub for foreign trade and investment.
Before joining ADIO, Al Kamali served as Chief Operating Officer for Manufacturing & Exports Development at Dubai Economy and Tourism (DEDC), where he developed and implemented policies that strengthened the UAE’s global competitiveness in industry and exports. He also led strategic taskforces, policies and oversaw several mergers and acquisitions.
During his career, Al Kamali also served in the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, where he led the merger of the Emirates Standardization & Metrology Authority into the Ministry to create the Standards and Regulations Sector.

Since joining EOS in 1998, Markus has held various sales-related roles in the export region. Over the years, he established EOS subsidiaries in UK and Nordics, introduced distribution partners in many other countries in his region and significantly grew the business by expanding into new markets and industries. Prior to joining EOS, Markus was the Area Manager for Europe and Asia at Kettner, an equipment manufacturer in the packaging industry. Markus has a Dipl. Ing. degree in Production Engineering.

Dr. Vitor Farinha Marques

Dr. Vitor Farinha Marques is a Senior Manager at EDGE Group, bringing over 17 years of expertise in the aerospace and defense sector. Over the past decade, his work has focused extensively on the qualification of additive manufacturing and R&D of multi-material printing technologies. Prior to joining EDGE, Vitor served as Chief Materials Engineer at Leonardo UK and held key engineering roles at Honeywell Aerospace and Honda R&D. He has contributed as an industry advisor to several UK technology boards and NATO strategic studies, shaping initiatives in advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, and electrification of the defense sector.
Vitor holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Oxford, an MBA from Bayes Business School – University of London, and a postgraduate certificate in Innovation from Stanford University.

Dr Nesma Aboulkhair

Dr. Aboulkhair is the Manager of Additive Manufacturing & Materials at Powertech, where she leads initiatives to advance industrial adoption of cutting-edge AM technologies and materials solutions. She continues to hold a visiting academic role at the University of Nottingham (UK), where she previously served as Assistant Professor.
Since 2013, she has been actively engaged in materials and manufacturing research, with a strong focus on metal additive manufacturing processes, spanning both powder-based and drop-on-demand technologies. With a background in mechanical engineering and a PhD in Materials Engineering and Materials Design, her expertise lies in developing new materials, optimizing manufacturing processes, and characterising metallurgy and mechanical performance.

He also holds a chair in advanced materials processing at the Department of Materials. Previously he was the Director of Research & Knowledge Transfer at the School of Metallurgy and Materials, University of Birmingham. He received his PhD in metallurgy and materials science from the University of Birmingham (2007), BSc (highest honours) and MSc degrees from the American University in Cairo (AUC) Egypt, in mechanical engineering, and materials/manufacturing engineering respectively. Following his PhD, Moataz worked as a research fellow at the University of Manchester Materials Science Centre from January 2007, prior to his appointment as a lecturer at the School of Metallurgy and Materials at the University of Birmingham in June 2010.

Dr. Bashar El-Khasawneh is the Founder and Chair of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Professional UAE Section. A founder of the Dexter Robotics startup company. He is currently an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Khalifa University. He served as the chair of the graduate program at the Mechanical Engineering Department from 2016-2019. He served as the Associate Chair for the department from 2013-2016. Before that he acted as an academic advisor for the British University in Dubai to develop an accredited industrial engineering program.
Between 2008 and 2010 he was the Manager of the Applied Research Programs at King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB), Jordan. Between 2002 to 2008 he held an assistant professor position in the Industrial Engineering Department, at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), within that time he served as a chairman for the department for two years. Between 1998-2002 he worked for Caterpillar Incorporated in the technical center and for KLA-Tencor with the technology group both in USA. He worked extensively on technical and managerial assistance for many industries. He founded a design and development pre-incubator at the JUST University to train and qualify students to become entrepreneurs. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA (1997). He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Innovation Lab at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and a member of the editorial board of IJAER.
His current research is focused on developing new concepts of advanced machining centers based on parallel kinematics mechanism and machining in harsh environments by adapting to the environment/geometry and be able to perform machining/welding tasks and developing robotic platforms for 3D printing of structures.
