CEO, Astro Mechanical Testing Laboratory
Humna Khan is the CEO and Founder of ASTRO Mechanical Testing Laboratory, where she collaborates with industry leaders to characterize and qualify 3D printed metal alloys and composites. She is also the COO and Partner at MIMO Technik, overseeing the development of production flight hardware for major OEMs and emerging space companies.
With over two decades of experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry, Humna has been instrumental in payload development, vehicle engineering, and launch operations, with a focus on failure analysis. She has held key roles at SpaceX as Director of Quality Engineering, and as Program Manager for NASA’s Process Control Program. Additionally, she served as the youngest Associate Professor at California State University, Los Angeles.
Humna holds five degrees in Engineering and Business and is certified in Strategic Business Development and Lean Production. She actively contributes to industry organizations like ASTM International and Women in 3D Printing. Her vision for additive manufacturing focuses on streamlining qualification processes, automating manufacturing, and democratizing production, positioning AM as a transformative force in aerospace.
